Have you ever owned a vehicle that you loved so much you wished you could build your house around it? Meet Holger Schubert, the architect who did just that. Schubert is the proud owner of a Ferrari 512i BB, one of only 929 units ever produced by the Prancing Horse, and designed the “main space” of his home around it.  The 512i BB sits facing a window overlooking the Pacific Ocean and, as Schubert says, it plays well when atmospheric conditions change. In fact, Schubert finds himself outside the window taking pictures of the vehicle sitting inside the main space when the light hits it in a striking way.

As you can see, Schubert’s home features a very minimal design, and that’s just the way he wanted it. He used his home as a canvas to showcase the Ferrari 512i BB, and when you look at it, everything around it steps into the background as your focus shifts to the car. Schubert could probably even make Bruce Wayne blush with the vehicle lift that the Ferrari 512i BB sits on. It starts at a resting place in the main space overlooking the ocean, where it takes up half the space (the other is used by Schubert as an office of sorts), and is elevated to a driveway/bridge that hangs 16 feet above the ground. You have to wait a few seconds for the large glass gate to slide out of the way before taking off down the road.

We’re not going to tell you about everything in Schubert’s house so when you’re done drooling, check out the video for yourself below.
