Ford’s Hybrid Sales In First Half Of This Year Bests Their Record Year For Sales

Ford made a startling announcement this week concerning the sales of their hybrid vehicles. Through May, Ford has sold 37,000 hybrid vehicles. This tops Ford's record for full year hybrid sales of 35,496, set in 2010. Ford also says the 37,000 vehicles sold represents a 375% increase when compared to the same time frame last year. While Ford’s 1.6-liter EcoBoost four is only three years old, a new EcoBoost four that’s just 0.1-liter smaller will be added to the Fusion lineup in calendar year 2014.
