Spied: Facelifted Ford Focus Testing In Europe

The Ford Focus is expected to go under the knife soon for its mid-cycle refresh, and this prototype caught testing in the snow could give us our first look at the updated compact. If not the refreshed model, this mule could be an early version of the upcoming Focus RS, with its ST-like dual central exhaust and large front grille.

The headlights appear similar to those of the standard Focus, lacking the in-housing LEDs strips of the ST. It’s difficult to see many other details of the front end, as there are two slabs of fake bodywork obstructing the grille and valance. If this is an RS model, you can expect a trapezoidal grille along the lines of the ST’s.

We’ll learn more about what the updated Focus will look like once it starts dropping some camo. But until then, what would you like to see for the refresh? Should the Focus adopt the Aston Martin-style grille of the Fusion and refreshed Fiesta? Or should all models instead gain an ST-inspired mug? Share your thoughts in the comments below.
