2014 Ford Fiesta ST

In this episode of Motor Trend’s Ignition, Carlos Lago, Associate Road Test Editor, travels to France for the launch of the 2014 Ford Fiesta ST. Ford has added its ST performance package to the smaller Fiesta, after first debuting it on the Focus. Available worldwide, the U.S. version will be a four-door hatchback going on sale in July; European countries will get a two-door version.

The new 2014 Ford Fiesta ST sports new wheels and tires, as well as a 1.6 turbo engine producing nearly 200 horsepower, plus an overboost feature for short bursts of additional power. But how does the Fiesta ST drive in comparison to the Focus? Is it as powerful, nimble, and precise? Is the Fiesta as fast? The biggest question of the day involves fun. Does the US market four-door deliver the same enthusiasm as the European two-door? All these questions and more are answered in the video below, so check it out.
