The 2013 Ford Taurus SHO is the automaker’s top-of-the-line full-size sedan, vying in a class that is far more refined than the clunky sedans that used to dot the segment. The Taurus is tall, wide, and commanding, and pulls power from a 3.5-liter V-6 with bite. While lesser trims get a 290-hp V-6 — and better fuel economy — the SHO dials up the muscle to 365 horses, with much of that coming on the low end. The tuned engine is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission, one that is standard across the range.

The 2013 Ford Taurus SHO starts at $39,995, and comes with a bevy of standard equipment: 19-inch premium wheels; HID headlights and LED taillights; 10-way power front seats, a leather wrapped steering wheel; all-wheel-drive; and Ford’s Sync with MyFord Touch, among other features. Our model added plenty of other niceties, and was priced at $45,785. And to compete against the Dodge Charger R/T, Chrysler 300, Hyundai Azera, Chevrolet Impala and others, the Taurus would need to everything it could muster. What did we think of the 2013 Ford Taurus SHO? How does it fare against the competition? You can read our review to get further insights, and learn more about the 2013 Ford Taurus SHO.
