Roush Performance offers a whole raft of parts for folks looking to tune their Ford Mustang and F-150 models, and now Focus owners can start getting in on the hotted-up action, too. Owners of the 2012-13 Focus and 2013 Focus ST can now get a Roush cold-air intake system, and ST owners can also opt for a high-performance cat-back exhaust. Although all of these components are now available for order, the parts will ship sometime in ...

Ken Block does his thing with the Ford Fiesta ST

image-816
Ken Block recently headed to Budapest to take some fans on a ride around an ice rink in the Ford Fiesta ST. Shockingly, there were cameras on hand to capture the whole event. Don't expect to see the caliber of antics we're usually accustomed to from everyone's favorite stunt driver, though – Block was left to wield a bone-stock Fiesta ST on a slushy cone course, which means the clip is about as entertaining as ...

Ford Mondeo with 1.5-liter EcoBoost debuts in China

image-798
Does the car above, posing fancifully in white, look familiar? Well, it should. Although it wears Mondeo badges in the form you see above for the Chinese market – as it does in Europe – the car is basically the same thing sold in the US as the Ford Fusion. Of course, it's what's under that shapely skin that counts. Ford has chosen the Shanghai Motor Show as the venue at which to unveil its 1.5-liter ...

Soon enough, Ford will offer its 1.0-liter EcoBoost three-cylinder engine under the hood of the Fiesta here in the United States, building on the success of the small powerplant overseas. In fact, this success has caused other automakers to take notice, and according to Automotive News Europe, Daimler is now talking to Ford about this engine for use in its own products. In other markets, Ford offers the 1.0-liter mill under the hood of the Focus ...

Our Weekend With A Ford F-650 Tow Truck

image-676
Yes, our title is Automobile, but some of our staffers haven’t outgrown their childhood Tonka Truck phase. That helps explain why, when Ford called and offered up a brand-new 2013 F-650 rollback tow-truck, we immediately said yes – even before we knew exactly what we were going to do with it. Let’s start with the truck itself. As the name suggests, the 2013 F-650 is Ford’s offering in the class 6 medium duty truck market. Its ...

2014 Ford Fiesta ST

image-874
Concentrated ST Formula Proves Just As Potent I'm not the jealous type... usually. But I will fully admit to being somewhat of a Pouty Polly when I read executive editor Chris Paukert's report after driving the then-new 2013 Ford Focus ST through the impossibly pretty southern French Alps region last June. I feel like a broken record saying this yet again, but hot hatchbacks hold a special place in my heart. And while I'm always giddy ...

image-633
Despite the added weight and complexity, the Ford Fusion Energi matched–and even exceeded–the ratings of its conventional and hybrid siblings in the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s crash tests. All three of Ford’s 2013 Fusions– the Fusion, to the Fusion Hybrid, and the Fusion Energi–received five out of five stars in overall ratings by NHTSA. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety also gave the Fusion its coveted “Top Safety Pick+” rating, following an “acceptable” rating in ...

Shanghai 2013: Return of the Escort

image-654
Ford Motor Company set a sales record in China last month, selling 81,387 vehicles, a 65 percent increase over March ’12. Still, that’s small beer next to arch-rival General Motors, whose March ’13 sales rose 12.6 percent, to 290,538 cars and trucks. More China-centric products built with local partner Changan Ford will help the Blue Oval close the gap with its rivals there. The C-segment — compacts — accounts for about 5.5 million sales in China per year, ...
